Privacy Policy
The short version: Sealr doesn't collect your personal data. There are no accounts and no sign-up. Everything you enter — your bikes, wheelsets, sealant types, service history and reminders — is stored only on your device and never sent to us or anyone else.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Sealr iOS app and the sealr.app website. In this document, "we", "us" and "Sealr" refer to the developer of the Sealr app.
Data the app collects
None. Sealr does not collect, transmit or store any personal information on our servers — because Sealr has no servers and no backend.
- All the data you create in the app (bikes, wheelsets, sealant types, amounts, intervals, service history and reminder schedules) is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage.
- This data stays on your iPhone. We can't see it, and it isn't uploaded anywhere.
- Sealr does not require an account, email address, or any sign-in.
- Sealr contains no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Sealr schedules local reminders directly on your device to tell you when a top-up or full refresh is due. These notifications are generated on your device by iOS and are not routed through any server. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Sealr.
Photos
If you add a photo to a bike or wheelset, that image is stored locally with the rest of your app data and is used only to display inside Sealr. It is never uploaded or shared. Sealr requests access to your photo library only when you choose to add an image.
If you back up or sync your device
Because your Sealr data lives on your device, it may be included in your normal device backups (for example iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup) under your own Apple account. Those backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours, and we have no access to them.
The website
The sealr.app website is a simple, static informational site. It does not use cookies for advertising or tracking. If we use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand overall traffic, that data is anonymised, does not use cookies, and cannot be used to identify you.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. There is no data to share — it never leaves your device.
Children's privacy
Sealr is a general-audience utility app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Since your data is stored only on your device, you are always in full control of it. You can edit or delete any bike, wheelset or log entry inside the app at any time. Deleting the Sealr app from your device permanently removes all of its data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
